Attending Veterinarian

Clinvet USA is seeking a full-time Attending Veterinarian with an interest in veterinary medicine research at our Waverly facility. Clinvet is widely regarded as one of the leading animal health CRO’s globally and our USA site is located in the foothills of the Finger Lakes Region.

 

Primary Duties

Primary duties of the position are as follows:  Ensure the well-being and clinical care of all colony and research animals on site. Direct or Indirect oversight of all other members of Vet Services department. Organize, delegate, and perform routine services that follow our Veterinary Care Program.  This individual will form part of our global community of practice for vets and manage day to day activities alongside other facility Veterinarians, Research personnel, Veterinary Technicians, and Husbandry personnel. 

 

Minimum Experience/Qualification

  • DVM or equivalent, current licensure in New York State and USDA Accreditation or eligibility is preferred
  • One to three years’ experience working in mixed animal practice is desired. Must possess good communication, organizational, and individual and team problem solving skills
  • Preferences made for GLP and GCP accreditation, research and animal lab institution experience, DACLAM boarded, and experience in USDA title 9 animal welfare requirements

Our facility is a USDA licensed research facility and AAALAC accredited.
